IDENTITES

IDENTITÉS is a selfmade story of Alexandra Dauplay-Langlois. It is the result of passions she share with her husband Marc, many places she travelled, cultures she discovered, many people she met and much energy.

Alexandra grew up in Paris with a French mother and a Vietnamese-Lao father. Her family is living all over the world : her parents are between France and Thaïlande, she has aunts in Bankok, a grand-mother in San Francisco, cousins in Montréal... She spent an important part of her life in Bangkok with her Asian family who taught her the art of inventing her own life. On these multiple stays, she discovered a “do it free attitude” and gained her independent spirit.

She met her husband at the University of Paris who engaged her on the road of her own business of creative envies. Asian Harmony was born. In 2001. Alexandra started fashion and home professional fairs in Paris at "Maison & Objet" and "Le Prêt-à-Porter". She supplied department stores, shops, retailers, interior designers, prestigious hotels coming from France, Italy, Spain, England, Switzerland, Grece, Germany, the US, Japan etc… Among the famous brands : Vivre in New-York, Takashimaya in Tokyo, Le Bon Marché in Paris, Hôtel Byblos in Saint Tropez, Globus in Switzerland...

After five years dealing with her expanding business, in 2005, Marc and Alexandra decided to move to Bordeaux as a return to a more sincere world, where they are still living with their two boys in an architect designed home. Alexandra decided to develop her business into a more personalized way, offering her finds and personal designs directly to the public. She opened a shop called IDENTITÉS based on simplicity, enthusiasm, share-wanted fashion, ethical approach and strong identity items.

In December 2006, she opened IDENTITÉS online shop.

Now, she makes her own accessories fashion design : belts, cuffs with textiles she find in markets and in her travels. She likes to mix different textiles.
